I've downloaded it, yet to have a look. There was a paper out a few years ago from some Finnish physicists who posited something similar which I've always intended to read but have yet to do so. Might go looking for it again.

I took a look at it, Jay. Like much written and said about this controversy, to me it smells strongly of confirmation bias. Probably goes both ways in the father and son discussion that is the basis of the essay. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias Probably never the twain (father and son) shall meet on this subject.
